Will all roads lead to Beijing?

While the European Union is struggling internally with growing divergence among member states regarding both their economic performance and their support of common governance structures, the international environment is changing rapidly creating new challenges. The two most important developments in the international environment are the shift in US economic policy towards protectionism and against NATO, and the rise of China. At the event we will discuss the implications of changes in the global environment for the European Union, with a focus on China’s rising power.
